Platelet Rich Plasma For Hair

New Cosmetic treatment uses client’s own fat and blood plasma to rejuvenate skin and hair

New non-surgical anti-aging treatment is fast rising in popularity.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) uses a client’s own, unwanted fat and blood plasma to contour and rejuvenate the skin of the face and neck and even breast.

Improvements have been noted in all of the following: skin tone/tightness, horizontal lines, texture and smoothness, folds, pigmentation, and scarring. Studies have shown the treatment can improve the skin from 25 to 80 percent.

Since PRP is autologous, meaning, derived from patient’s own body, reduces the risk of rejection or allergic reaction. Clients never have to worry about product recalls or late onset side effects from introducing a foreign substance into the body. It capitalizes on the healing powers within one's own body.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy

PRP is an advanced treatment we have used to help repair damaged or injured tissues in your body. This minimally invasive procedure helps initiate your system’s regenerative process by utilizing the growth factors that platelets are known to contain.

Blood is drawn and spun in a special centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected into the client’s face and neck. The platelets release growth factors which stimulate fibroblasts, responsible for the formation of collagen Types I and III, and other skin repairs.

The result of the treatment is the natural stimulation of growth factors moving towards the treated area. There are no known side effects of PRP, although you may occasionally experience minor swelling or pain near the injection points for a short period of time.

PRP is commonly used to treat:

•  Volume loss in the face, neck and décolleté

•  Fine lines and wrinkles

•  Circles, bags and discoloration in the eye region

•  Vertical lip lines

•  Nasolabial folds

•  Active acne and acne scars

•  Stretch marks

•  Hair loss and hair thinning

PRP for Promoting Hair Growth

There are many benefits of using PRP treatment to promote hair growth. Highly concentrated growth factors in PRP have been shown to generate new hair growth, thicken thinned out hair. PRP awakens dormant hair follicles and stimulates hair growth. If the hair follicles or hair roots are healthy, the growth of the hair is healthy. Hair follicles survive on the nutrition they get from blood supply. If we introduce growth factors by administering PRP in the area of damaged hair follicles, it amplifies the body’s naturally occurring healing mechanism to stimulate and regenerate hair follicles and results in thicker, stronger and voluminous hair.
