You might not know this but the thyroid is responsible for a great deal of what goes on in your body. It can control some of the most vital bodily actions such as the burning of energy, controlling the body’s sensitivity to hormones and even the creation of proteins. So as you can see it is crucial that you have a healthy thyroid gland in order to stay healthy yourself. People who find that they have problems with their thyroid find that they become tired and listless, they put on weight and can even experience some growth problems. In other words if your thyroid isn’t in tip top condition, neither are you and you will be feeling the effects.
